Problem
Clicking the Add or Visualize buttons from the Folders page will bring up a dialog, but the application stops responding and appears to freeze or hang.
Discussion
This issue can occur when you connect to the computer via remote desktop (terminal services) and choose to connect local devices. If you were not connecting to the computer via remote desktop, please contact technical support for assistance.
Resolution
The issue was fixed starting with version 2.5.1137. You can use the Software Updates tab on the System Status page to upgrade your software. We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of the software.
Otherwise, you can follow these steps to prevent local devices from being mapped when you connect via remote desktop:
- Open the remote desktop connection window and choose "Options >>" button. If you are using a saved remote desktop connection, right click on the connection file (.RDP file) from windows explorer and choose Edit.
- Click the "Local Resources" tab.
- In the "Local Devices" section, uncheck "Disk drives," "Printers," and "Serial ports."
- Connect to the remote server and try again (you may have to kill the previously frozen process using task manager).
