Side by side manifest errors in the windows event log

Problem

The software appears to work correctly, but the Windows System Event Log has side-by-side (SxS) activation errors similar to the following:

General activation context failed for ...\MFC80.DLL (The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.)
Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC. (The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.)

Resolution

Certain system configuration can cause these errors to appear in your system log. Although they are harmless and will not affect the operation of the software, you should be able to eliminate these messages by installing certain Microsoft redistributable components. These components are packaged as an MSI file and can be deployed to many desktops all at once. Please download and install the correct package for your target platform:

• Windows 64-bit (x64)
